My dad is a vietnam vet who is getting on in age. He's started deteriorating physically, and I need to move out of state for a new job. Our only option is to get him into assisted care, but our budget is limited. Is my dad eligible for the 'aid and attendance benefit'?

We recommend consulting a veterans benefits assistance service to get the full story, but here's the gist:
1) Your dad must be at least 65 years old or permanently disabled.
2) Your dad must have served at least 90 days in active service, with at least 1 day during a wartime period.
3) Your dad must have received an Honorable or general discharge.
4) Your dad must be spending at least 75% of his income on medical expenses (including RX, health insurance, home health care, etc)
